Brown Boy Dead (February 26, 2012)

Shot dead.
His tangled body lay stiff on the street,
For all to see -
His everlasting moment of dispair.
He cried out for his mother,
But his mother wasn't there.
He cried out for his mother!
But his killer didn't care.
He use to talk about this moment,
Crippled hands, and grey hair.
But his hair was kinky black,
Like his skin and his family.
But his hair was kinky black!
In a nation that hates equality.
And his hands were unarmed,
But police see what they wanna see.
And his hands were so strong,
Meant for great things before this tragedy.
His mother just came,
She cries his name,
She cries his name!
His mother just came,
Her boy is dead -
What a shame.
